Research Interest
As a mathematics educator, his research interests include mathematical problem solving in the primary and secondary levels, mathematics pedagogical content knowledge of teachers and mathematics anxiety. He has given numerous presentations at conferences held in the region as well as in various parts of the world. His publications appear in regional and international journals. He has supervised Master degree students. His current funded research includes "Knowledge for Teaching Primary Mathematics" and "Effects of Dynamics Assessment and Intervention on Student Cognitive Functions in Primary Mathematics". Committed to mathematics education, he has conducted workshops for school teachers in the areas of problem solving, activity-based lessons, mathematical reasoning and has also given talks to school mathematics heads of departments as well as parents.
