Problems viewing JavaSketches on the Internet?

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you may experience some problems in starting the Java applet. But once the applet starts, it is much faster than using a Netscape browser. Some solutions to the problems are:

Click on the Refresh button a few times. It may take quite a while.
Switch off the computer and start all over again. I have experienced this problem before.

How to open GSP files for the first time?

1. If you are using Geometer's Sketchpad for the first time, a dialogue box "Open with" will appear.

2. Find the file Gsketchp.exe in the box below by scrolling down and then click on it.

3. If you cannot find the file Gsketchp.exe, click on the button "Other..."

Select C: Drive => Sketch => Gsketchp.exe.

If you cannot find the folder "Sketch", try C: Drive => Program Files => Sketch => Gsketchp.exe.

Click the button "Open".

4. Check that you select the option "Always use this program to open this file" so that your computer will automatically open GSP files using the GSP software next time.

5. Click the OK button.
