I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Peter Tennant Johnstone in 1992. My Ph.D. thesis is titled Generalizations of Continuous Lattices and Frames. My research interests include general topology, order structures (posets, domains, frames), real analysis( generalized Riemann Integral, Baire class one functions) and algebra. I am also involved, as a Co-Principal Investigator, in the mathematics education project --Singapore Mathematics Assessment and Pedagogy Project (SMAPP). I joined the Mathematics and Mathematics Education of the National Institute of Education since 1993. During the course of time, I have taught various courses in linear algebra, abstract algebra, commutative algebra, Galois theory, plane geometry, topology and domain theory.
