This year, the Association of Mathematics Educators (AME) and the Singapore Mathematical Society (SMS) will jointly organize the AME-SMS Conference for mathematics teachers. This inaugural event will be hosted by NUS High School. Both AME and SMS recognize the importance of both pedagogy and mathematical content knowledge to mathematics teachers. The theme of AME-SMS Conference 2012 is “Nurturing Reflective Learners” – an important emphasis of the Singapore mathematics curriculum, and which encompasses both mathematical content and pedagogy.

The AME-SMS Conference has a unique one-day programme which comprises of keynote lectures and regular lectures delivered by renowned scholars, comprising of mathematicians and mathematics educators. We look forward to welcoming you to the AME-SMS Conference.
